Police restore calm at Mamobi after NPP, NDC clash

The Ghana Police Service has successfully restored calm at Mamobi, a suburb of Accra, following violent clashes between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

The political confrontation, which escalated into a violent altercation, resulted in injuries to nine individuals, stirring tensions within the community.

The police acted swiftly to bring the situation under control and have since initiated efforts to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for the unrest.

An update posted on the police social media handles indicated that the perpetrators have been identified and that processes are underway to bring them to face the law.

NPP-NDC DISTURBANCES AT MOMOBI: POLICE RESTORE CALM AND ON MANHUNT TO ARREST PERPETRATORS

The Ghana Police Service has restored calm at Mamobi, a suburb of Accra, following disturbances between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the area that resulted in the injuries of nine persons.

Seven of the injured victims have been treated and discharged while two are still receiving treatment at the hospital.

Meanwhile, an intelligence-led operation is currently ongoing to get the perpetrators who have been identified by the Police arrested to face justice.
