NPP Ejisu primary: Kwasi Nyantakyi makes his way to voting center from his sick bed

Former GFA President Kwasi Nyantakyi who is contesting the ongoing Ejisu New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary primary has made his way to the voting center from his sick bed.

The lawyer cum politician was on Friday, April 12, 2024 hospitalized 12 hours to the election.

Close sources say he passed out while interacting with his campaign team at his residence at Kwaso in the Ejisu Municipality.

He was then rushed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) for medical attention.

But Mr Nyantakyi who is determined to see himself being elected as the next Member of Parliament, shrugged off his ill health and visited the voting centre Saturday morning.

In a video, he’s seen with a plaster on his hand, being held by a member of his campaign team as he exchanged pleasantries with people at the voting centre.

Nine persons are contesting to be elected as the Parliamentary candidate for the upcoming by election and ultimately as the Member of Parliament.

The by-election is slated for April 30, 2024.
