Marriage is not cure for fornication – Comedian DKB

Comedian DKB has offered his perspective on marriage and financial stability. In a recent video on social media, he was responding to comments made by Pastor Mensa Otabil, who had encouraged single individuals to marry without waiting to accumulate wealth first.

DKB disagreed with Pastor Otabil’s view, stating that times have changed and financial difficulties are a leading cause of divorce.

He emphasized the importance of financial stability before venturing into marriage. “If you go to divorce in court, ninety percent of the cases are money issues. We are waiting to get money before we get married,” DKB said.

Additionally, DKB addressed Pastor Otabil’s claim that marriage is the way to avoid fornication. DKB believes that self-control is the key to avoiding fornication, not marriage.

“Marriage is not the antidote for fornication, it is not at all. The antidote for fornication is self-control. There are a lot of married people who are even more active on the single market than actual bachelors,” DKB said.

DKB’s comments highlight the importance of financial stability and self-control in marriage. While Pastor Otabil’s counsel may have been relevant in his time, DKB believes that it is no longer applicable in today’s society.
