Mahama to deliver first State of the Nation Address on February 27

President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, is expected to present his first State of the Nation address on February 27, 2025.
This platform will allow him to give the people of Ghana a fair idea of the state of the country after he took over office.
He will also use the opportunity to tell the people of Ghana what his government has done since taking office on January 7, 2025.
The State of the Nation Address will afford the president the opportunity to explain certain decisions that had to be taken.
The country will expect an update on the fight against illegal mining, which was very topical during the 2024 elections.
Also, the chieftaincy dispute that has led to the loss of several lives is another topical issue the Ghanaian people will want to be updated on by the President of Ghana.
Other areas will be the economy and how the government is working to ensure that it bounces back to blossom.
According to reports, the Finance Minister will also present the first budget on March 11, 2025.
He is expected to announce tax cuts, including the e-levy, betting tax, COVID-19 tax, and emission tax among others.
The Minister is also expected to announce the reintroduction of road tolls.
