Mahama asks for expedited probe into Ahmed Suale’s killing

President John Dramani Mahama has called for an immediate and thorough interrogation of the suspect allegedly involved in the killing of Tiger Eye PI member Ahmed Suale.
He made these remarks during a courtesy call by the leader of the Ghana Bar Association, Efua Ghartey, on March 26, 2025.
In connection with Suale’s death, Daniel Owusu Koranteng, a former associate of the late journalist, has been arrested and charged with murder.
President Mahama emphasized that a swift and meticulous interrogation of the suspect could lead to further arrests and ultimately bring closure to the case.
While reaffirming his commitment to upholding human rights, the President also urged authorities to expedite the prosecution of those responsible for the murder of JB Danquah.
“Investigations into significant killings and murders that have remained uninvestigated. I have urged the police and the investigation organisations to look more actively into such cases, like that of Ahmed Suale.
“That is why a first suspect has been arrested, and we are hoping that his interrogation will lead to further arrests of people. There are several other cases like the JB Danquah case. We are asking that they be expedited in terms of prosecution and investigations,” he stated.
