Let’s build a nation that inspires others – Akufo-Addo
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has called on Ghanaians to unite in fostering a nation that serves as a beacon of inspiration to the world.
His remarks came during the inauguration of the transition team in Accra on Wednesday, December 11, as the process of handing over power to the newly elected National Democratic Congress (NDC) government commenced.
Akufo-Addo highlighted the importance of collective effort and national pride in advancing Ghana’s development agenda. While acknowledging the significant progress made in the country’s development journey, he noted that much work remains to be done.
“Ghana stands out as a beacon of democracy and stability showcasing the strength of our institutions and the maturity of our people. We must continue to consolidate this hard-earned reputation by adhering strictly to the provisions of the Transition Act.
“…I call on all Ghanaians to support this process with patience, understanding and faith in the institutions that underpin our republic…Let us continue to build a nation that serves as an inspiration to others, a nation united in its diversity and freedom and steadfast in its pursuit of progress,” President Akufo-Addo stated.
