Juventus target Ghanaian Kevin Danso in €25 Million transfer pursuit
Juventus are reportedly eyeing Ghanaian center-back Kevin Danso as a key defensive addition for the upcoming season, according to a report from French media outlet Foot Mercato.
The 25-year-old, who currently plays for RC Lens in the French Ligue 1, has attracted interest from the Old Lady.
Juventus are said to be preparing to make a strong push for Danso’s services this summer, especially after missing out on their primary target, Jean-Clair Todibo, who has opted to join West Ham.
RC Lens has placed a price tag of €25 million on Danso, a figure Juventus will need to meet if they hope to secure the defender.
This potential transfer is seen as crucial for Juventus, who are looking to bolster their backline ahead of the 2024-25 football campaign.
Danso, who has Ghanaian heritage, represents Austria at the international level and has been in fine form, particularly during the Euro 2024 tournament in Germany.
He joined RC Lens in 2021 and has become a cornerstone of their defence, which led to his contract extension in August 2023, keeping him at the club until at least 2027.
