Judicial Service: Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill cases not ready for hearing

The Judicial Service of Ghana (JSG) says the cases concerning the Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and the Ghanaian Family Values Bill, commonly known as the Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill, are not yet ready for hearing at the Supreme Court.
The cases include those of Richard Sky, Amanda Odoi, and Rockson-Nelson Etse K. Dafeamekpor.
In a statement sighted by Citi News on Tuesday, the JSG noted that the status of all three cases between October 3 and 7, 2024, showed that the defendants have still not filed statements of the case.
Additionally, it said that neither an individual nor a joint memorandum of issues was filed.
