I’ve built more roads, interchanges than any other govt – Akufo-Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reiterated his administration’s accomplishments in infrastructure development, claiming that his government has constructed more roads and interchanges than any other in Ghana’s history.

Delivering his remarks during the commissioning of the Flower Pot Interchange in Accra on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, the President underscored his government’s dedication to enhancing the country’s infrastructure.

“Let us remember that this project is one among many. From the Northern Savanna to the southern coastline and from east to west, we are building a new Ghana. One where roads, bridges, schools and hospitals rise as symbols of a nation that works for everyone.

“It is fitting then to acknowledge that this administration has constructed more roads and interchanges than any other in our nation’s history.

“In the Greater Accra Region alone, we have completed the Pokuase Interchange, the Tema Motorway Interchange Phase I, Obetsebi Lamptey Interchange Phase I, the East Legon Underpass and today, this Flower Pot Interchange,” President Akufo-Addo stated.

Beyond Accra, the president highlighted other major interchanges and roads currently ongoing in other regions.

“Beyond Accra, we have also delivered the first-ever interchanges in the Eastern Region at Suhum and in the Northern Region at Tamale. Each of these projects tells a story of commitment to a Ghana that is continuously moving forward,” he added.
