I’m sorry – LilWin begs Martha Ankomah as court case proceeds

Kwadwo Nkansah, better known by his stage name LilWin, is a Kumawood actor who has publicly begged his coworker Martha Ankomah for forgiveness for his actions, which have resulted in a legal dispute.

He made it clear that he never meant to purposefully offend Martha due to their misunderstanding, which has harmed his reputation.

LilWin said he was sorry for his mistakes and that he hoped Martha would pardon him. with the hopes of resolving their legal concerns and advancing the film business.

“Martha is my sister and colleague. Disputes are natural. but they need to be resolved. No one is above apology; even the president apologises when he is wrong. Sometimes, the way bloggers report issues isn’t accurate because I would never insult Martha. Yet. such claims were made.

“So, if I said anything that offended her or she disliked. we are all human. and she should forgive me. I have also forgiven her because it’s work. We want the movie industry to progress. not be filled with hatred.” he told MzGee in Twi during the United Showbiz programme aired on UN on August 3. 2024.

Meanwhile, Martha Ankomah has denied reports that LilWin approached her for an out-of-court settlement.

Actress Martha Ankomah sued LilWin for defamation after he made derogatory comments about her in a widely shared video.

Ankomah asserts that LilWin’s remarks tarnished both her and the reputation of the textile company GTP. She is requesting an apology, a retraction, GI-105 million in damages, and an injunction to prevent future defamatory remarks.

The case was prompted by LilWin’s response to Ankomah’s remarks on Accra FM, in which she stated that she would be interested in working with Kumawood actors because of their respective tales.

Lilwin attacked the actress in his response video, which prompted the lawsuit.
