IES co-founder Kombat to represent West Africa at Germany’s Policy on Hyrogen 2021
Co-founder and Director of Administration and Research at the Institute of Energy Securtiy (IES), Mr Edmond Kombat, has been selected to participate in the ‘Energy Transition – Germany’s Policy on Hydrogen.’
The IES co-founder is expected to represent the Institute as one of the selected organisations among three organisations from Africa in Berlin during Quarter 1 of the year 2021.
While IES is the only organisation from the West African sub-region, the other two are from Northern and Southern Africa.
A total of 14 individuals from across the world are expected to participate, with representations from Africa, America, Asia and Europe.
Originally slated for the second quarter of 2020, the training programme had to be postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The virtual session, however, took place on Wednesday, 16 September 2020.
Two billion Euros out of the German government’s 9 billion Euros for its Energy Transition and Renewable Energy Programme from 2020 to 2030 has been set aside for African Green Energy Development and Advocacy.
IES is an award-winning African energy authority focused on the nexus between energy demand and supply through research, data analysis, and advocacy.
