I won’t hesitate to perform in pubs, nightclubs – Brother Sammy
In a recent interview, gospel singer Broda Sammy stated that he is willing to use gospel music to reach out to people who are considered ‘ungodly’ by the church.
According to him, the essence of evangelism is to go into every part of the world and teach God’s message in order to save people.
In an interview with TV3, ‘The Nation’s Worshipper’ stated that if invited to perform in nightclubs and venues where alcoholic beverages are offered, he would gladly accept the invitation.
“If a bar or a nightclub invites me to play, I will quickly leave. If a secular artist approaches me, I will go. He added that he takes advantage of any opportunity to disseminate the word.
Broda Sammy stated that while everyone attends church to hear the gospel, people who frequent nightclubs do not do there for the same reason; he would not turn down an opportunity to gain souls at those venues.
“I don’t look at them and say they’re non-believers; thus, I won’t work with them. I perceive them as individuals. I do not discriminate. “That is all,” he added.
He advised that Christians reconsider their method for sharing the gospel.
“If the devil can modify his plan, then why can’t we? “The clubs where people are going to sin should be the places where we go to praise and worship,” he explained.
Broda Sammy is recognized for his unorthodox and controversial form of gospel music, which has sparked much debate about the propriety of his approach.
He is noted for songs such as ‘Masei Ho’, ‘Woye Obaatan Pa’, and ‘Odo Nyankopon’.
