I will resign if NDC names a single hospital it completed and operationalised in Ashanti Region – Minister
The Ashanti Regional Minister, Simon Osei Mensah, has stated that he will immediately resign from his position if the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) can name a single hospital it has constructed, commissioned, and operationalized in the Ashanti Region.
This statement follows criticisms directed at the Minister for allegedly failing to mention five monumental projects undertaken by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government in the Ashanti Region during an interview.
Responding to these criticisms in an interview with GHOne TV, the Minister dismissed a viral video of his remarks as fake, accusing his opponents of fabricating it to discredit him.
“That fake video? Go and listen to it again. When I mentioned the First Lady’s project, they claimed I said just one. But the host said I had mentioned four. Go and listen to it again. I can give you twenty projects. Again, when I said, ‘When you are coming to my office, on the right-hand side is the Appeals Court residential complex,’ they edited it to make it seem like I said, ‘Come to my office to listen to those projects.'”
The outspoken Regional Minister further challenged the NDC, which he claimed often boasted about massive infrastructural projects while in office, to name any hospital in the Ashanti Region that it either inherited or initiated, completed, commissioned, and operationalized.
“I am like a porcupine — you attack me, and I respond with my spines. These are the lies. I have posed this question for almost two years, and I will keep asking until I leave this office. If they can name just one hospital — whether they inherited it, initiated it from scratch, completed it, commissioned it, and it began accepting patients — I will resign. If they tell me right now, I will resign immediately as Regional Minister.
“Because of this question I keep asking, they went and created a fake video claiming I couldn’t mention projects completed by the NPP government. Me? I don’t even attend interviews with sheets of paper; I go with my brain. I want one person who can tell me that he or she has interviewed me and I held a paper.”
Light House Church member mad at Cheddar for failing to spray cash during visit to the church
A member of the Light House Chapel has vowed not to vote for Independent Presidential Candidate, Nana Kwame Bediako popularly known as Cheddar during the December 7 general election after the latter failed to gift cash when he visited the church.
In a video shared on social media platform X, a convoy of expensive cars including SUVs are shown driving away from the church premises.
The disappointed church member is heard in the video expressing his displeasure over the wealthy businessman turned politician’s decision not to spray cash.
“You are a big man, you paid us a visit and you did not spray any cash around for us. Look at the expensive cars in your convoy and yet you couldn’t even gift us GHC10.00. If it were to be Shatta Wale, he would have splashed lots of GHC5.OO. You are stingy and yet you want us to vote for you, we won’t vote for you. It has pained me. Just look at the cost of the cars in his convoy.”
Nana Kwame Bediako, a young successful entrepreneur with interests in real estate, finance, and property management has expressed confidence of being elected President of Ghana come December 7 Presidential election.
He believes he has the right policies that will boost Ghana’s ailing economy and create wealth to improve the living conditions of Ghanaians.
