I will continue uncompleted Agenda 111 hospitals – Mahama

The Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has reaffirmed his commitment to finishing up uncompleted projects, such as the ongoing Agenda 111 initiatives started by the Akufo-Addo administration.

He emphasized that the current government will be unable to finish these projects with only four months to the December 7 general elections.

The former president was speaking during a meeting with chiefs and religious leaders at Fumbisi, in the Builsa South constituency as part of his four-day campaign tour of the Upper East Region on Wednesday, August 6, 2024.

John Mahama stated that his administration will complete the abandoned projects not thinking about which government will be credited for the completion.

“Tax payers monies have gone into those projects but Ghanaians are not getting the benefit because the projects have not been done. And so when we come to power the projects we were doing, the E Blocks that were abandoned by this government we will complete them. The hospitals we were building we will continue them, the projects from Kufuor’s time, Rawlings time, any project that has not been finished we will continue them.

“We are doing an inventory of them as we speak so that we know which projects are there so that every year’s budget we will make provision for continuing these ongoing and abandoned projects. Even the uncompleted projects that this government will leave we will continue. The Agenda 111 hospitals, they have started so many of them all over the place. They won’t finish all of them, the majority they won’t finish. The responsibility is going to fall on us to continue and finish those projects. So we will continue them, we are not going to abandon them,” John Mahama said.
