I monitor and gauge Asiedu Nketiah’s posture to do my politics – Majority Leader, Afenyo-Markin

The Majority Leader in Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has expressed his admiration for the National Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, whom he described as a savvy politician.

Speaking in an interview on Adom TV, Afenyo-Markin who is the Member of Parliament for Effutu said he draws significant inspiration from Asiedu Nketiah, a veteran politician who has held prominent positions both in government and at the party level over the years.

“I have said that he is one politician that I respect and I study. That man is smart, I listen to every word that comes from his mouth. I study his posture, body language. He knows politics, I read him, I often look at his posture and I gauge it to do my politics. Asiedu Nketiah is smart, he is on the Board of the Parliamentary Service. He controls the leadership, he controls the machinery of NDC, and he is part of the campaign.

“When he came to Central Region, he knows that the NPP is winning 16 seats in Central Region. When he came to the region, he asked the people at a rally why they are taking out their intestines and replacing it with sand? These were his words, he knows. Asiedu Nketiah as Chairman of the NDC has access to all the intel and data so in his campaigning, he knows what to say. If somebody is winning, he would speak at a public rally questioning who Central Region people are rejecting the NDC.”
