I don’t run away from my mistakes – Kuami Eugene

Ghanaian multiple award-winning musician, Kuami Eugene has revealed what he thinks endears his music to lots of people.

The ‘Monica’ hitmaker, who’s known for his unique style and impeccable flow, believes people like his music because of his vulnerability.

“One thing I recently realized about why people like my music is my vulnerability. I don’t run away from my mistakes as a human being. I’m not that celebrity who behaves like he or she doesn’t make mistakes. I don’t pose like that because there’s no human who does not err. So this reflects in my songs. I think that this is what the regular human being wants to listen to,” Kuami Eugene said in an interview with MC Ogee on New York-based Adinkra Radio.

He added, “My songs remind people of what they have experienced in the past; my songs make people happy and forget their sorrow. I am really good at putting such things together, and it works all the time. From my songs such as Adwenfi, Angela, and Never Carry Last, these speak about issues people relate to. I think that is the key point; that is what makes people like my music so much; they identify with the lyrics.”
