Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo, two assistants survive near fatal accident

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo and his two assistant coaches, John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda have been involved in a road accident. The incident occurred earlier today, Sunday, September 1, 2024, on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road as they were returning to Accra after watching a match between Ghana Premier League champions, FC Samartex, and Ghana FA Cup holders, Nsoatreman.

Reports indicate that the accident was caused by another driver’s reckless behaviour. The driver of the other vehicle reportedly veered into the lane of the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado carrying the coaches, forcing them to take evasive action to avoid a head-on collision. Despite the impact, the Land Cruiser sustained only some damage.
