Bawumia to launch Digital Training Program for Kwadaso Youth, boosting job prospects
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, recently engaged with residents of Kwadaso, assuring them of plans to elevate their community’s skill set through a comprehensive digital training program.
Addressing the community, Bawumia highlighted how this initiative would complement the existing technical and vocational training available to local youth, aiming to empower them in a rapidly digitizing world.
“Digital skills are crucial in today’s economy, where opportunities extend beyond borders,” Bawumia told the residents.
He underscored the potential for young people in Kwadaso to access remote work opportunities globally, an essential income stream that could transform their lives and contribute to the region’s growth.
“If we equip our youth with digital proficiency, we open doors to high-paying, remote jobs that can be done from anywhere,” he added, sharing his vision of a digitally advanced community in Kwadaso.
In addition, Bawumia committed to prioritizing the southern part of Kwadaso, home to about 5,000 people, as the pilot location for the digital skills initiative.
This commitment reflects his broader vision of balanced regional development, where rural and underserved areas receive specialized attention to reduce digital disparities. “Starting with South Kwadaso, we will establish a program that brings these new opportunities closer to our communities,” he explained.
