A Plus honours police invitation

Musician-turned-politician Kwame Asare Obeng, also known as A Plus, honored an invitation extended to him by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service on Monday, July 15, 2024.

The controversial musician was seen in a white shirt and black trousers making his way to the CID Headquarters in Accra.

The Police Service announced in a statement on Monday that it had invited A Plus to assist in the investigation into the death of undercover journalist Ahmed Suale. A Plus had publicly stated in a Facebook Live video that he knows who killed investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein Suale.

The Ghana Police Service invited Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, on July 15, 2024, to assist in the ongoing investigation into the death of Ahmed Suale, following his recent claims on social media that he has information regarding the case.

The Cold Case Unit, established in October 2021 under the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, has been working on the investigation and closely engaging with the deceased’s family.

In a statement, the Police expressed their appreciation that Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng (A Plus) has indicated he has information that could assist the ongoing investigation and has invited him accordingly.
