Alex Segbefia appointed Chief of Staff to the Vice President

President John Dramani Mahama has given his approval for Alex Segbefia to be appointed Chief of Staff to Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the vice president.

The appointment, which was made public on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, is part of the government’s Resetting Ghana program and aims to strengthen governance and policy coordination within the Office of the Vice President.

Acting President Felix Kwakye Ofosu acknowledged the selections in a formal statement, highlighting the administration’s dedication to using competent leadership to create a better Ghana.

In addition to Mr. Segbefia, the Vice President’s Policy Advisor is Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, a former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
