Julius Debrah to head Mahama’s transition team

John Dramani Mahama, the President-elect of Ghana, has appointed a team of experienced individuals to facilitate the transition process in accordance with the Presidential (Transition) Act, 2012 (ACT 845).

The 2024 Transition Team will work in close collaboration with representatives of the outgoing government to ensure a smooth and orderly handover of political power.

The appointed members bring expertise from various sectors, including finance, governance, and public administration.

The team will be led by Co-Chairperson Hon. Julius Debrah and include the following key members:

  1. Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia
  2. Hon. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey
  3. Dr. Callistus Mahama (Member/Secretary)
  4. Dr. Valerie Sawyer
  5. Prof. Kwamena Ahwoi
  6. Hon. Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson
  7. Hon. Mahama Ayariga
  8. Hon. Goosie Tanoh
  9. Dr. Edward Omane Boamah

Additionally, the President-elect has nominated Rt. Hon. Edward Doe Adjaho as a member of the Transitional Advisory Council.
