Amenfi Central: Joana Gyan re-elected NDC PC
The wife of musician Keche Andrew, Joana Gyan, has been elected as the parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for Amenfi Central.
Joana Gyan was acclaimed on the day as her closest contender, Peter Yaw Kwakye Ackah withdrew from the race after vetting on Saturday.
A total of 1,430 delegates were present for the acclamation.
The leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on September 5, 2024, announced the decision to annul the elections.
This was in line with reliefs being sought by persons who placed an injunction on the candidacy of Joana Gyan.
