We will not sign players with more than one child – Newly promoted Young Apostles Founder
Newly promoted Ghana Premier League club, Young Apostles, have implemented a controversial transfer policy ahead of their first campaign in the Ghana top flight.
The club has decided not to sign players who have more than one child, in an effort to focus on nurturing young talents and building a competitive squad.
After emerging as champions of the Division One League Zone 1, Young Apostles are eager to make their mark in their first season in the Ghanaian top-flight league.
However, their new signings will not include players with more than one child.
In an interview with Light FM, Peter Oppong Domfeh, the club’s founder, explained the rationale behind the policy.
“If you are a player and have two kids, we won’t sign you,” Peter Oppong Domfeh said.
“We are investing huge monies into the club and we aren’t ready to work with players with children.”
The club’s objective is to sign young, talented players who can contribute to their success in the league, which is set to commence on September 6.
