2024 BECE: Desist from any form of exam malpractice – WAEC to students, invigilators
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has advised students, school authorities and invigilators among others to desist from any form of examination malpractice during the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which start from Monday 8th July to Monday 15th July.
According to a statement issued by the GES, “WAEC and the Security Services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all the centres across the country.”
A total of 569,095 Candidates will be writing the examination at 2,123 Centres across the country.
“Management wishes to congratulate all 569,095 Candidates involved for their hard work and fortitude so far and to also express its profound gratitude to all Teachers, Heads of Basic Schools, Directors of Education, Parents / Guardians and all Stakeholders for the crucial roles they have played so far in preparing the candidates for the examination,” the statement added.
Parents, candidates and the general public have been informed that the school selection process will commence after the BECE. Details of the selection process will be communicated in due course.
