EC conducts Ejisu by-election today
The Electoral Commission (EC) will today Tuesday, April 30 hold a by-election for the Ejisu constituency in the Ashanti Region today, to elect a Member of Parliament following the death of the former (MP) and Deputy Finance Minister, Dr. John Ampontuah Kumah, on March 7, 2024.
The election is expected to be keenly contest between the New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate Kwabena Boateng and former MP Kwabena Aduomi, who is running independently after quitting the NPP.
The opposition National Democratic Congress opted out of the election.
About 100,000 persons are expected to vote in the election running from 7 am to 5 pm.
The results will be announced at the Coalition Centre, located at the Catholic Church in Ejisu.
