2024 Election defeat: We’re sorry from the depths of our hearts – NPP apologizes to supporters
NPP National Youth Organiser Salam Mustapha has apologized unreservedly to party faithful after the party’s huge and embarrassing loss in the 2024 elections.
He expressed sincere regret and acknowledged the magnitude of the loss while speaking on Point Blank on City FM Tuesday, March 18, 2025.
“It is with a lot of pain that I admit that we failed, and quite hugely at that,” he said.
Mustapha further apologized his apologies to constituency executives, youth organisers, and regional, national executives, polling station executives and electoral area coordinators.
Mustapha felt especially sorry for the youth who had hoped for the NPP to win.
“I say we are very sorry from the very depths of our hearts to all the party following, especially the thousands, millions of young people who were looking up to us to win the election and give them hope,” he added.
He was however confident that the NPP will recover for the loss and work hard to win power in the 2028 general elections.
